Reiki is a Japanese word meaning Universal Life Force. It is a non-intrusive method of hands-on healing that taps into the chi energy (known in China) and/or prana (known in India). Reiki is a technique that triggers the body’s natural healing abilities. This healing technique is a compassionate energy therapy where practitioners use their hands in a heart-centered and intentional way to support and facilitate your physical, emotional, mental and spiritual health and self-healing.
What can you expect?
Reiki facilitates a deep sense of calm and relaxation as well as overall and specific responses for mind-body-spirit healing. You may feel nurtured, balanced and energized.
A Reiki session can be given anywhere from a chair in a client’s home to the bed in a hospital room, through casts and bandages. Normally a client would lie on a table fully clothed. The practitioner places his or her hands on or near the client in a series of hand positions.
How does energy healing work?
Energy therapies focus on removing energy congestion that form in our energy field (aura) and energy centers (chakras). It re-establishes healthy energy flow through opening, connecting and balancing the human energy field.
